Two wheels of learning

We had an interesting discussion about experiential and conceptual learning and its scaffolding last night before going to bed.

In the morning we continued chatting about our thoughts and I decided to create a mind map to sort some things out and to help remembering and internalizing it all.

I found the metaphor from my dear hobby. The learner can ride with a unicycle, having only one wheel. That wheel represents his/her own efforts. Adding another wheel – the instructor or teacher – smoothes the journey considerably.
